Give your gig book a massive upgrade with this fresh, modern take on Holst.
Gustav Holst's "Jupiter" reigns supreme in the wind band repertoire, but I wanted to breathe new life into this planetary monolith. In this arrangement for brass quintet, I took Holst's iconic work and put a modern, adventurous spin on it.
This isn't your standard straight copy-and-paste transcription either. Players and audiences alike will love the unexpected, lush chord progressions that eventually make way for the famous, sweeping Holst chorale everyone knows and loves. It’s gig-tested and written intentionally to turn heads—working perfectly as a contemplative moment on a formal recital, or as a massive, lyrical showpiece for your next church gig.
What’s Included:
Format: Digital PDF Download
Files: Full Score & Individual Parts (Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Horn in F, Trombone, Tuba)
Style: Classical Chorale / Modern Reharmonization
Difficulty: Medium (Grade 3.5)
Duration: ~3:30
